Depression Served Six Ways (Seks Lag af Depression) is a dark comedy about six people living in a suburban apartment complex who drive each other insane. One could think of it as "panic in the projects!"
The short film was completed in March, 2005. It is in Danish, and the total running time is just over fifteen minutes.
To date, the film has been invited to participate in the 28th annual Mill Valley Film Festival, running from October 6 until October 16, 2005, and the 17th annual Cardiff Screen Festival in Wales, which runs from November 9 until November 19, 2005. For screening dates at both festivals, please click here.
Concurrently, Depression Served Six Ways has also been submitted to a host of other film festivals and we are now awaiting responses. Further festival submissions are coming up.
No screenings in Denmark have been scheduled but a premiere will take place in Copenhagen by December, 2005.
The Mill Valley Film Festival is California's longest-running fall festival, and is known internationally as a high profile, prestigious event celebrating the best of independent international cinema.
A filmmakers' festival, the eleven-day event is set in California's bucolic Marin County (in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area). The festival revels in the cutting-edge in one of the most important markets for independent and world cinema in the United States.
Like its original inspiration, Telluride, Mill Valley has the rare ability to host an international film festival while maintaining the home-spun atmosphere of a cozy mountain town. The festival attracts industry luminaries, yet the glow and potential pomp of celebrity attendance is kept in check by the undeniable charm and beauty of the town itself.
So, please look for Depression Served Six Ways at the 28th Annual Mill Valley Film Festival from October 6 - 16, 2005!
The Cardiff Screen Festival is the premiere film event in Wales, known for its innovative approach to staging a film festival. The festival hosts over one hundred twenty films each year. Farm Fresh Films is delighted to have Depression Served Six Ways participate.
Farm Fresh Films wishes to thank all of those, near and far, who have supported Depression Served Six Ways, with special regards to the cast and crew and the festival programmers who have selected this film (or are planning to!).
